Presentation
Although we consider the world as a vast market and we talk about the
"global village", understanding differences between countries and responding
to them are essential in international business today. This course is
an introduction to the various areas of international trade: The global
business environment and the global business operations.
Teaching objectives
Allow the students to understand and communicate efficiently in international
trade: The International business environment. International business
operations: Management, marketing, import and export.
Format
One meeting weekly of 3 hours during 7 weeks.
Teaching methods
Vocabulary and concepts. Analysis of press articles and video reports.
Oral presentations. Exercises and case studies Individual work Preparation
of the cases outside class time. Evaluation Grades will be based on participation
and performance.
Recommended level
This course is designed for students with an intermediate/advanced level
of English who are motivated by international issues.
